Creating Coupons

Coupons are discounts that customers can apply at checkout. Here’s how you can create and customize coupons for your store.

1. Navigate to the Discounts Tab #

• Begin by going to the Discounts tab in your dashboard, where you can manage and create new coupon codes.

2. Create a New Coupon Code #

• In the Code field, type the unique coupon code that customers will use during checkout.
• In the Amount section, specify how many times this coupon code can be used.

3. Select the Coupon Type #

There are three types of coupons to choose from:

• Fixed Product Discount: This applies a fixed discount to specific products in the cart.
• Fixed Basket Discount: This offers a set discount on the entire cart, regardless of the products.
• Percentage Discount: This applies a percentage-based discount on the entire cart or individual products.

4. Add a Description #

• In the Description field, write a brief summary of what the coupon is for or any special instructions for customers.

5. Allow Free Shipping #

• Use the Allows Free Shipping switch to specify if the coupon will enable free shipping when applied.

6. Set Expiry Date #

• Choose an expiration date for the coupon using the calendar date picker.

7. Configure Settings #

• Minimum and Maximum Spend: Set the required minimum and maximum cart totals for the coupon to be valid.
• Individual Use Only: Choose “Yes” if this coupon cannot be combined with other coupons.
• Exclude Sale Items: Select “Yes” if this coupon should not apply to products that are already on sale.

8. Product Restrictions #

• Allowed Products: Use the dropdown to select specific products that the coupon can be applied to.
• Excluded Products: Select products that the coupon will not apply to, even if they are in the cart.
• Product Categories: Use the dropdown to apply the coupon to specific product categories.
• Excluded Categories: Choose product categories where the coupon will not be valid.

9, Allowed Emails #

• Enter the email addresses allowed to use this coupon (if applicable) in the provided field.

10. Set Usage Restrictions #

• Usage Limit Per Coupon: Set how many times this coupon can be used in total.
• Usage Limit Per User: Limit how many times each individual customer can use this coupon.

After configuring these settings, save your coupon, and it will be ready for customers to use at checkout!
